Howdy, Aggies!
Get ready to show those Longhorns what Gig 'em spirit is all about! The Brazos County A&M Club is thrilled to partner once again with the Texas Exes for our Second Annual Rivalry Build in support of Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), a fantastic non-profit dedicated to ensuring no child in our community sleeps on the floor. SHP builds and delivers safe, comfortable twin beds to kids in need right here in the Brazos Valley, helping them rest better and thrive. Founded as a grassroots effort, SHP has grown nationwide, delivering over 320,000 beds to date through volunteer-driven events like this one. Our local TX-College Station chapter, led by Co-Presidents Joel Hammond and Kristen Cain, focuses on community builds and deliveries to make a real impact for area families.
This year's event is all about friendly competition – we'll be building beds side-by-side with the Longhorns, and we're kicking it up a notch with an optional pillow drive challenge to stock up for upcoming deliveries in December and January. (No racing on the builds, though – quality comes first!) It's a fun way to give back, connect with fellow Aggies, and outshine our rivals for a great cause.
